Have you ever felt yourself succumbing to the harsh realities of the world we’re living in, incensed by the echo chambers abounding social media, the news, or that irksome robot in your pocket? Yeah, us too. But life is far too short NOT to act like the silly goose you are, and that’s why our August Theme is Hoopla! We welcome submissions of any interpretation of this jovial theme, so try not to take it too seriously. Some may already call our journal Hoopla, so let’s show them they’re right! Feed us your odd and funny, your seriously unserious, your frabjous ballyhoo. Make us laugh so hard we cry, or cry so hard we laugh. Either way, nourish our souls with something inspiring us to forget our everyday lives, in favor of more scrumptious consumption. Invigorate us with chaotic whimsy until we’re dazzled into ethereal liminality, lost in the capricious madness of your mind.
Submissions for Hoopla will be open from May 1st to June 30th.
